Duck Egg Piano Stool

I got this cute piano stool a few months ago, and it looked like this...
I think it was the pretty shape of the legs that drew me to it.
I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Duck Egg, and waxed it with clear and brown wax after lightly distressing it.  I reupholstered the top with some beige linen and then using a Graphics Fairy graphic I transferred it onto the Fabric using 'Citrasolve', you can see a  tutorial here on 'You Tube' from Gail Schmidt At The Shabby Cottage Studio.  Afterwards I lined the inside with old sheet music, I thought that would be a novel idea for a 'piano' stool!

Such an improvement on the original piece - I love Duck Egg its such a lovely soft shade.
I'm mixing up some Provence & Old White at the moment for a chest of drawers, I am hoping to share very soon.
Bye for now

Exciting News!

I'm really excited I have my French Inspired Bureau for sale in the Emporium in Godstone Village.  I have visited the Emporium on many occasions over the years and I feel really privileged to have this opportunity.
The Emporium has just recently become the second outlet in Surrey to sell Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, which is great news for me as it's just a short drive from my home and I do have a burning desire to own a 1 litre tin of each colour as I can  never decide which shade I want to try next!.
The Emporium has about 15 sellers, selling all sorts of antiques and vintage collectibles as well as furniture.  It's located in the pretty village of Godstone in Surrey and is well known for its Village Green and Bay Pond.
I'm just finishing off a sweet little piano stool makeover, which I will share in a couple of days.
Bye for now
